Hello, I'm ASH
I came to art unexpectedly, and later in life — with no formal training, no background, and no warning. Six weeks after a mild concussion, I felt a sudden, powerful urge to draw. When I did, something remarkable happened: it simply flowed. It felt less like learning and more like remembering — as though creativity had been waiting all along, and that quiet shift had unlocked it. I sometimes smile and think the knock simply knocked the art right into me.
What followed was the fastest, steepest learning curve imaginable — but one that felt like coming home. I mastered my craft quickly, driven not by technique, but by feeling, and found myself creating work that stops people — art with that quiet "wow" factor that speaks straight to the heart.
For me, painting is never just about the image. It is the doorway to a deeper, peaceful state — a place where I lose myself completely, stepping into a world that exists only within my own mind. It is a place of bliss, stillness, and pure freedom. Every piece is a journey into that light, and I am so grateful to be able to share that world with you.
